Try-It Events

This Ballet class will impart some of the fundamentals of classical ballet at an introductory level. Participants will be introduced to basic ballet technique, proper body alignment, French terminology, and musicality.

Creative Movement
Creative Movement introduces participants to their bodies as instruments through active imagination and engagement. Through fun-filled movement activities, this class introduces the major elements of dance: body shape, space, time, and energy.

Hip Hop allows participants to cultivate their expressive potential through movement that is most often paired with familiar and popular music. This class infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Participants are free and encouraged to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements.

Jazz Funk
Jazz Funk, also called Street Jazz, borrows movement from multiple dance styles such as hip-hop, lyrical, jazz, and modern. Jazz Funk incorporates the variety of qualities these genres offer and creates a funky style that is both fun and expressive!

Stretching & Strengthening
Stretching & Strengthening focuses on increasing mobility and stability for every participant. This class is suitable cross-training for those involved in sports as well as the arts, and can help the body become less susceptible to injury in other activities.
