We are currently working on our next summer event! Check back in the next few weeks for details!
-Family Indians Game
The Cleveland Indians donated 200 tickets to the game on May 13th, where Rec2connect Foundation was able to offer to families of individuals with special needs in the Northeast Ohio area. FOX Sports donated 14 tickets in their suite that included food and beverages, as well as a quiet place for families to enjoy the game. ADA seating was available and seats close to exits and bathrooms were provided as well. 25 individuals also had the opportunity to enjoy batting practice before the game and meet the players. It was a memorable day for all!
-Family Pool Party
We hosted our 3rd annual pool party at the Gemini Center in Fairview Park for 125 individuals with special needs and their families. The Gemini Center has a playground, splash zone area, zero depth entry, large water slides, lazy river, vortex, hot tubs, lap lanes, and diving boards for use during the party. Pizza was provided by Marcos Pizza and Giant Eagle, Grand Slam Treats and Target donated additional items for the party. Families enjoyed a photo booth area, the opportunity to, meet new friends and families, and have fun! This event is always a great time and we are hoping to increase the frequency in years to come!
-ATA Cleveland Martial Arts Class
We teamed up with ATA Cleveland in Solon to provide a 1 hour trial class for individuals ages 4-12 and 13-adulthood. Families had a great time and 2 individuals signed up for classes for the trial classes. Friendships were made and it was an overall success!
